Data Security and Protection Toolkit
There is a national project that is funded by NHSX to help care providers protect their data from breaches and their businesses from cyber attacks.
The first step to achieving this is to complete the NHS Data protection and Security Toolkit (DSPT).
Completing this toolkit will help you comply with data protection regulations and allow you to apply for nhs.net emails to ensure so that you can share sensitive personal data safely and securely.
To be eligible for an nhs.net email address you must pass the DSPT Toolkit.
More and more external partners like LAs, CCGs, GPs, Tissue Viability Teams and others are setting deadlines – no email communication unless it’s with an nhs.net email.
It is vital that all care providers pass the DSP Toolkit get an nhs.net email address.
We have been awarded funding to help all Staffordshire care providers complete the DSPT to the required standard, even if you are not a SARCP member.
Our help starts with a short introductory webinar, where we will give you an overview of data protection, why it is vital to protect your clients and staff and the potential impact on your care business if you suffer a data breach or cyber attack.
UPDATE: Good News! The project as been extended. Don’t wait any longer to do this.
It is a compliance requirement and is the only way you are going to be able to acquire nhs.net email addresses.
Sign up now to this introduction webinar and don’t miss out.
